FROM GRAPE TO BOTTLE: WINE 101
Ever wondered how grapes become the wine in your glass? Join us for an engaging and approachable introduction to winemaking!
About the Winemakers:
Kara, originally from Moorhead, Minnesota, was a photographer and graphic designer until she serendipitously fell into a job working on a vineyard in Australia in 2022. There, she fell in love with wine and hasn’t looked back! She has since completed WSET Level 2, worked a year in the vines, completed 5 harvests, as well as launched her own wine brand with her partner Tristan in Cape Town, South Africa called "Whobody Wines."
Tristan, Cape Town born and raised, went to school for Viticulture and Oenology even though he strictly drank brandy and coke. He is a science lover and nerd at heart, and we are thankful his taste buds have since evolved. His love for wine comes from his need to understand how everyday things work. He has completed 7 harvests, worked as an assistant winemaker, and co-founded Whobody Wines with Kara.

Meet Lula, a singer/songwriter hailing from the charming town of Palmer, Minnesota, who now calls the Fargo-Moorhead area her home. Her journey in music began in childhood, marked by vocal excellence awards at the MMTA State competition. At fifteen, she ventured into songwriting, and by nineteen, she recorded her debut EP with Plaid Dog Records in Boston, MA. Today, Lula is crafting new material and looking to bring her music to new places. She brings her own compositions, as well as covers to audiences. Collaborations, inspirations, and connection through music are on the horizon.
